Development of a Prototype "Geotagging Survey Meter"
Radiation safety is a very important field for radiation workers. This is because dangerous radiation such as gamma, alpha and beta cannot be seen by the naked eye. Accordingly, a device was built to detect the radiation. Through the reading or sound representation on this device is able to show the level of danger of the radiation.
Until now, these devices called survey meters were made by manufacturers from abroad. Although this technology has been developed for a long time, there is no local manufacturer that is able to produce the device due to the technology delivery factor and the existence of a gap between manufacturers and information related to the technology.
Accordingly, researchers at Nuclear Malaysia are developing a prototype capable of detecting gamma rays along with data storage features through Wi-Fi transmission including tracking the location of the surveillance meter using Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. This prototype has proven its ability (proof of concept) in its functionality to detect gamma rays and location detection. It is expected that the survey meter prototype will be released by the end of this year.

Development Mobile Data Logger for Tracer application in Nuklear Malaysia
The objective of the project is to design a mobile data logger for the ratemeter equipment to acquire & record data via RS232 and test the mobile data logger using Arduino for tracer applications.
Mobile data logger ready to be developed using Arduino with two main functions:- Get data from the ratemeter equipment via RS232.

Record the acquired data in .txt format in the SD card.
