Central Thimble
The central thimble (CT) is a hollow aluminum tube with a diameter of 3.38 cm. CT is located in the middle part of the core to the platform reactor. It is used for irradiation of samples at higher neutron fields. Samples to be irradiated must be placed in a waterproof container. However, water inside CT can be dispensed out if irradiation in dry state need to be performed.
