NUKLEAR MALAYSIA TO ASSIST AADK TO DEVELOP BIOREACTOR

DENGKIL, AUGUST 25, 2023: Malaysian Nuclear Agency (Nuklear Malaysia) organized a technical visit and consultation with the National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK) at the Dengkil Narcotics Rehabilitation Centre. Mr. Rujhan bin Ramli, Principal Assistant Director (Institution), Treatment, Medical, and Rehabilitation Division of the AADK, was present to welcome the delegation. The visit was scheduled to align with Nuklear Malaysia's engagement session with the AADK on July 18, 2023. Ts. Dr. Ishak Bin Mansor, Senior Director of Commercialization and Technology Planning, led the Malaysian nuclear delegation. Dr. Rasif bin Mohd Zin, Director of the Technology Commercialization Division and Nuclear Malaysia researcher, was also present.

During the meeting, Nuklear Malaysia presented a briefing on Nuklear Malaysia's products and services for agricultural activities, particularly at the Dengkil Narcotics Rehabilitation Centre, which is a project for chili fertigation, rock melon, and outdoor services. A number of product exhibition were held to disseminate information on Nuclear Malaysia's products and services.

The AADK management intends to provide an initiative to develop bioreactor technology in one of the selected Narcotics Rehabilitation Centres for the production of biofertilizers in the skills and vocational training components available in the National Anti-Drugs Agency treatment and rehabilitation model, the i-Pulih Model. The initiative indirectly underlines Nuklear Malaysia's support to AADK desire to introduce nuclear technology in the Narcotics Rehabilitation Centre. Initially, this cooperative venture will be implemented in the AADK before being extended to AADK clients in the community. It is envisaged that this technical visit and consulting session would aid in upskilling and offer clients an opportunity to spread their wings in the job market following the completion of the program.
