Bacteria Culture Collection is a facility for Nuclear Malaysia researchers to deposit and preserve bacterial culture. The collection consisted of mainly culture obtained indigenously through microbial biotechnology R&D activity. The facility has been initiated since 2004.

Bioreactor pilot plant facility recently set up using MTDC fund. This advanced bioreactor technology for mass production of cell culture was established with our South Korean partner for the production of plant cells and culture. The platform technology will initially be used to produce ginseng roots and then followed by roots of Tongkat Ali based on our research started in 2002 under the IRPA grant from MOSTI. The facility will be fully utilized to produce other herbal plant cells with ultimate aim to produce bioactive compounds under the GMP condition for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmetic industries. The facility will also provide services and training related to bioreactor technology at national, regional and international level.
