CHITOSAN PASTE FOR WOUND DRESSING

Our innovative CHITOSAN PASTE is insertable in wound cavity and keeps wound moist that enhance wound healing process. It can easily be removed with no pain after healing or during changing dressing. This friendly sterile wound dressing product is a blend of radiation crosslinked polymers with water soluble chitosan derivatives that have antimicrobial and antioxidant property thus accelerating healing. Besides chitosan, other biological resources e.g. Gamat, Honey can also be added, therefore benefiting natural resources for health improvement.

CHITOSAN PASTE has been filed for patent (PI 20080940). This innovative soft yet flexible gel, sterilised and crosslinked upon irradiation at 25 kGy, is free from chemical preservative. Unlike other wound pastes already in the market, the product stays on wound to absorb exudates and to prevent microbial penetration to wound dressing.
